Kelly Berry, a sophomore at Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, California, is an outstanding basketball player in every aspect of the game, he is “the big man with a soft touch.”  Kelly stands a commanding 6'6” and weighs in at a strong, but lean, 220 pounds.  This 19-year-old sophomore possesses superior basketball skills, unmatched intensity, and excellent leadership skills. As such, Kelly named Team Captain this season.  He promises do perform extremely well at the next level. (NEWSPAPER PRESS)

Kelly's shot draws much attention due to the purity of his form and his soft touch upon release.  He is a great shooter. His hand position on the ball is precise and he always gets square with the basket when he shoots. Kelly is careful to follow his shot for the offensive rebound, and his ability to run the floor on fast breaks and come off of a screen to shoot off the dribble is amazing, especially considering his size.

Kelly's defense is extremely strong and consistent. Dribblers and shooters have difficulty maneuvering around him because of his stature, strength, and all around defensive supremacy. His rebounding skills are most dominant within the paint – he goes up strong, and with confidence and conviction.  He attacks the boards and fights for position, creating exemplary defensive plays.  He averages 2 blocks, 12-14 rebounds and, recently, at least one steal per game.

His unselfishness with the ball greatly assists his teammates with scoring and helps boost team morale. Kelly has good court vision, along with strong, accurate passing ability.  His goal is to obtain the win at any cost - if that means passing, then he does it well.

Kelly's skills are superior, but he has room to grow and learn, and it is his sincere desire to do so at the next level.  His body will continue to develop, his skills will continue to sharpen, and Kelly Berry will be a valuable addition to the team that welcomes him next.
